Dug out the extension for the out door pond. The existing pond had a slight leak so that it would drain down to six inches from the edge. Since I had to therefore replace the PVC liner it was a good opportunity to enlarge it so that it collects all the spray from the electric fountain I turn on weekends. There is a smaller solar pump that I'm experimenting using at the moment in a bog - filter type set up.
Then it was off to twin family birthday celebrations at D's.
RBB was there with his wife and daughter, son and grandchild. It was especially nice to catch up with his son with whom I had a protracted conversation about family trees. He has done an amazing amount of research into our families.
We had a fun jam with D on piano, RBB on fiddle and me on rhythm/ cassonettes until someone asked us to stop all the noise so guests could come back into the living room! Hmmph!
Mass at nine, I might shoot up to Akatarawa after.
Have fun but don't sin.
I hope you got those parts copied.

Thanks forgot.... distracted by the family tree... do it sarvo!
ReplyDeleteMy sister took on the 'job' of being the family historian a couple of decades ago. She has developed a 'family tree' that has expanded into a forest that is fascinating. It's a shame that all families don't do this as it's so valuable for the young ones coming after. Good on you for doing yours.
DeleteOur family tree has shown all sorts of interesting provenances and occupations along with historical connections. Kathy (my sister) is still developing this and has had the good fortune to be able to travel around the world on business and leisure and to check out churchyards, civil authorities etc in UK, Canada, France, Australia mainly which has uncovered all sorts of secrets.

McDonald is probably an Italian name.
ReplyDeleteNo, you're thinking of MacAroni.
