Fsh n' chips for dinner.

A friend has been telling me about the wonders of

I plan to go to Kmart after work and get one.

For several months now I have been buying real fish, crumbing it myself and chopping real potatoes. Frozen ready made ones often taste off. Frozen pre crumbed fish in packets is invariably boring tiny bits of Hoki!

I find this works well just in a frypan but our friend has been singing the praises of

so for $79 - $10 = $69 I might as well get one and try one out.

I haven't been keeping a diary like my older more pedantic brother, but I've been doing a good hour practice religiously each day on cello and violin after also (religiously) saying the rosary. I find that the cello helps my fiddle technique. My left hand is getting much stronger and used to stretching. My

is getting more attuned too.

The rosary helps my (and others) soul and Mary might put a good word in for us on Judgement day.

On a Jimmy Akin podcast he mentioned an old text "The life of Adam and Eve". This goes back to about 700 BC....here are some screen shots from the Apocalypse of Moses which is in it, and adds more information to the original account in Genisis.

(It is Eve telling her account of the fall to her children (60!) as Adam lies in his death bed at the age of about 900).
What I find very interesting (and this was Mr Akins reason for siting it) is the intercessory role of the Angels with God doing what THEY ask. This is found later with Mary interceding on our behalf and Jesus (God) doing as she requests. Thus the Rosary is prayed by us not just to honour Mary but to ask her to intercede "...now and at the hour of our death". Bridget (of Sweden)
says Mary frequently visits the souls in purgatory and comforts and pleads for their release. We too should pray for such souls.

Have fun boys but don't sin.

  1. That Bridget of Sweden sounds like a real nutter but … have you any pictures of her? … you know, being Swedish and all that …

Moving on. Air fryers are very good and cheaper and quicker to run than ovens. We use ours a lot for chips, roast veggies etc but quickly pan fry fresh fish.

Watch that spelling of practise/practise before old you know who spots it.

  2. Thanks for the heads up; we won't judge Bridget until we have a clinical assessment.

  4. If you want to see skimpily dressed women there will be more than a few at Sunday Mass.

    1. Now you're talking. That's the way to increase Mass attendance (especially of dirty old ex Catholics).

  5. Your pics of Bridget of Sweden are nicer than the ones I found which show her as a nutter. I guess that Catholic edition of the internet you have portrays Mary, Jesus, god and the saints in a more idealised way like those gay images of the Christ.
