Friday 13th.

As Rob approached the Church he noticed the Camellia. It never was not in flower.
He entered,

From inside he could see the same Camellia. It became clear. How could it not flower. It was so near to Jesus and His Church.

  1. Rob left his brains at the door of the church before entering. It was a requirement.

  2. He knew his brain was just a conduit between his soul and body. It was a hindrance in this sacred place. He parked his body in a pew. He didn't need that either. He closed his eyes. How long would he need this old body. He was aware of being on a platform that was sliding under him. The older he was the closer to the edge he got. He estimated that he had about six feet left. Then he would either fall or jump. But jump where? He imagined Jesus reaching out to him. He would need to be fit to make the leap. The type of fitness that comes with frequent prayer. He needed to build that relationship now while there was still time. He prayed.

    1. … then he jumped but he had miscalculated. His old body, without his brain in it, merely flopped over and he hit his empty head on the pew in front of him.
The ambulance responders looked down at him and shook their heads. One said “he doesn’t have the brain he was born with”.

I like it that Robert finally admits that a brain entailing reasoning, commonsense and intelligence is a hindrance when it comes to religion.
I think I'll put that quote on my blog page .
